Heer M40 "wire" ex single decal helmet - Q64
Description
A well worn M40 helmet which comes with a period time attached think wire going around the bottom of the shell. You can see those "wire helmet" on many period time photos taken towards the end of the war. Soldiers used the wire to attach camo material.
Q64 marked shell. Damaged leather liner which would be size 56. About half of the chin strap is still in place.
Original grey paint to the shell. Rust. Period time removed eagle decal.
A great helmet with character! Rare!
