A stunning early M35 helmet which looks to have been worn throughout WW2. It left the factory with one or even two decals and was later overpainted in the field. The new camo paint now covers nearly 100% of the shell. The largest part of the eagle decal was left out and is still visible. The national shield was probably entirely overpainted.
100% factory attached leather lining with original cord. The prongs of the rivets were never opened. Original cord as well.
59 size stamped.
Original soft leather chin strap. Maker marked and 1939 dated.
ET66 marked to the shell. A true "been there" helmet.
