Description

A rare 1st pattern "old style" visor cap for an officer with a soft leather visor. Collector's call this type of cap a "crusher cap".

Piping: "red" color for artillery troops
Insignia: Aluminum cap eagle and embroidered officer's wreath badge. It looks that the cap always had a metal cap eagle attached!

Sweat-band: worn with parts of the seam opened. "KAPS" maker marked
Lining: Fine black silk lining. Signs of wear. Some stains. KAPS maker marked.
Visor: The leather is not too flexible anymore.

A nicely worn cap in good shape. Some moth damage.
