Description

Kriegsmarine/Navy officer's dagger with hangers and portepee made by Carl Eickhorn.

White plastic-covered wood handle with intact wire wrapping.
Gilt brass pommel and cross guard.
The blade is lightly corroded and features a double-sided etched blade showing fine ornaments and naval motifs.
No damage to the tip.
The backside of the blade is stamped with the 1942 Eickhorn logo.
The "lightning" scabbard has 50% of its gold gilt remaining.
No major dents.
The dark gold-colored portepee is of the late production made from cotton. This matches the late war Eickhorn logo.
The hangers are in a damaged condition, with the top clips missing.
