Two-pieced award- & award-document: 'KvK II. Kl. mit Schw.' - 'Gefreiten' Wilms -'9./Sich.Rgt. 16'. The set comprises of a (bronze-toned- and/or zinc-based-) so-called: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse mit Schwerter' (or war-merit-cross 2nd class with swords) that comes mounted on its period ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt'). Both (unmarked) award and ribbon are clearly issued and/or worn and show moderate age, wear and/or staining.
The award came with a standard-issued pattern award-document (ie. 'Verleihungsurkunde') for the: 'KvK II. Kl. mit Schw.' that was issued to the: 'Gefreiten' Arnold Wilms (member within the: '9./Sich.Rgt. 16') on 20 April, 1944. This document is neatly filled-in (by a type-writer) shows a (facsimile) signature of the: 'General der Infanterie u. Militärbefehlshaber in Belgien und in Nordfrankreich' named: Alexander von Falkenhausen.
The document is clearly ink-stamped with an ink-stamp ('Dienstsiegel') that reads: 'Der Militärbefehlshaber in Belgien und in Nordfrankreich' as to be expected. The award - and folded document - came both stored in a carton-based enveloppe marked: 'Trix 1'.
