Untouched WWI period time M16 helmet which was re-issued by the Wehrmacht in 1935. It received a new paint, one decal, a new liner, chin strap and rivets. This was a typical procedure however in early Wehrmacht times.
This example was probably never worn. The liner looks perfect and shows no signs of wear. It is size 55 stamped. The chin straps looks to be worn and was probably added. However, it is original.
The eagle decal is perfect. 100%. Roughly fieldgrey paint with some scratches however generally perfect.
