Description
Very rare 1st pattern German WWII Fallschirmjäger M40 jumping smock (so-called "Knochensack"). This pattern was worn during the Crete Campaign. Made from light green mottled fabric. Typical brown cotton lining. "Schultz Berlin" maker marked which is a well known maker for jumping smocks. "Gr. IIB" size stamped.
Full working RAPID marked zippers as well as PRYM 6 marked buttons. Original "zick-zack" machine-attached breast eagle on green backing.

Clear signs of wear to "neck" (collar) and the sleeves. Both, end of the sleeves and collar were repaired with machine and show zick-zack stiching.
In addition, the smock was shortened. It was cut off just below the pockets. Buttons were added as a vertical button line. That all probably happened postwar.

Size M.
Good condition 2.
A few very small, light green color spots.
