Paratrooper jumping smock

Description

Luftwaffe paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) jumping smock. A so-called "Knochensack". Smocks were made with green cloth as well as cloth showing a camo print. Tan & water camo, as well as splinter camo patterns, were issued. This example comes with a splinter camo pattern printed on the cloth. A rather late war issued example.

Zippers: All zippers are RAPID marked. One of the top zippers looks restored. The seams were re-done. It is damaged towards the last 20% of it.
All other zippers are working and look factory applied.

Front buttons: Blue glass buttons. Re-attached
Press buttons: PRYM 6 marked. Rust! One part of a button for the silk sleeve lining missing.
Pistol holster pocket: Parts of the pocket were professionally reconstructed. You can see a difference in color when you compare the camo cloth.

Breast eagle: Removed. Traces visible

Lining:
Sleeve lining: Fine silk. Some rust.
Inner lining: White cotton. Marked! Hard to read. It looks to be "44" dated.

Some small repairs. Some restored parts as mentioned above.
