Johann Wagner was awarded the Close Combat Clasp 1st grade on June 27, 1943, as Obergefreiter in the 12./Geb.Jäg.Rgt.98.

His grouping contains further his Sold-book (lots of entries), Workers Book stating his involvement in farming during 1940, and the following documents besides the close combat clasp document: a) Infantry Assault badge in silver on November 3, 1941, b) Iron Cross 2nd Class on June 1, 1942, c) Wound badge in gold  on January 3, 1945. All documents for his participation in the same regiment. Most of his medals are present as well. The East Medal in zinc with original ribbon (ribbon ring with maker mark), his black wound badge (steel painted), his Iron Cross 2nd Class on original ribbon, his Infantry Assault badge in silver, hollow pressed zinc, and his close combat clasp in bronzed zinc by FLL.
