Grouping to Oberleutnant Dr. Georg Henning serving as a company leader of Jäger-Regiment 228 and of 4./Gren.Ausb.Btl.53 from Januar 1943 until February 1944.

In Spring 1944, he was given another field command and served with 4. MG Komp./53 in Saloniki, Greece.In August 1944, he became Lemnos "Ortskommandant" of the Greek island Lemnos.  In late 1944, he was involved in anti Partisan combat serving with Festungs-Bataillon 1003. He must have been killed in 1944/1945 since the album looks to have been set up by a comrade to present to his family.

140 photos in total including many taken in Greece and Russia. The last shows a group of captures partisans. The photo above is titled " Dr. Henning mit seinem Kommandeur nach hartem Bandenkampf ....
