A nice period time framed painting. "Hosler" artist signature and "41" dated. It shows a woodhouse in the winter. Original wooden frame. Modern tape to the back.
The frame comes with an attached brass tag to the front. Engraved "Zur Erinnerung an die Neuaufstellung des Gr.Btl.18 (mot) - Im Rahmen der Skijäger-Brigade 1 Weihnachten 1943 - Im Namen der Kompanien - 1/18 2/18 3/18 Stbsk 18". The tag shows also a small map of the area, where the unit was based.
It was a present to the battalion on the occasion of the reorganization of the unit.
