Deutsches Reich 1918 - 1945
Kriegsmarine Nachlass 6. K-Division des Obermaat Glässner

Beschreibung

Family purchased grouping to Obermaat Fritz Glässner serving with Kampfflottille 612 as a photo of his grave can tell. The grouping was never available on the market before. Glässner was born on 4.6.21 and died on 25.8.46 in British POW. Part of the grouping is a large size photograph of his grave.

Kampfflottille 612 was part of 6. Kleinkampf-Division under the command of Kapitänleutnant Witt. The unit fought in Italy (Adria).

Dark blue sailor's cap with KRIEGSMARINE machine-woven cap tally. Never cleaned in still dusty! A cloth "F. Glässner" name tag attached to the black cotton lining. Complete with its metal cap eagle. The cockade had gone off.

Only one moth hole was found. Size 56. Exactly this cap is worn by Glässner on a colored portrait photo part of this grouping!

Dark blue sailor's shirt with period time attached breast eagle by machine. Period time attached sleeve patches as well. No moth damage. Medium size.

A period time uboat propaganda magazine "Front unter Wasser" dating back to 1942. Used condition.

Small photo album with roughly 52 period time photos inside. Many loose. Glässner is shown several times. One postwar photo of his new grave (he was at Caserta earlier) at the military cemetery in Cassino, Italy.

A nice lot of Kriegsmarine insignia containing two pairs of unworn slip-on boards for the tropical tunic as well as five tropical rank chevrons.
A single fieldgrey coastal artillery board as well as several other blue (one grey) sleeve badges. Some moth damage.

Severa period time fieldpost letters and documents allowing plenty of room for additional research.
