Prussian sabre of a member of a Garde-Artillerie-Regiment.

A nice etched blade to three sides. Leather finished grip with wire wrapping. Brass hilt fittings. A lion's head pommel. The front langet bears the Garde star. Steel scabbard. It has some dents. The blade can no longer be pushed completely into the scabbard.

Signs of use and age. Length: 104 cm.

Made by Alex Coppel, Solingen. Maker marked to the blade. "W 17" stamped on the back of the blade. Wooden grip plates. Several acceptance marks. Steel scabbard. It has some dents. 

Signs of use and age. Length: 52 cm.

"W 01" marked on the back of the blade. "Erfurt" maker marked. A so-called "Steckrückenklinge mit Schör" blade. Wooden grip plates. "52.R.1." and "220." stamped on the crossguard. Leather scabbard with iron fittings. "248 RR 3." and "81" stamped on the upper fitting. Several acceptance marks. The blade can no longer be pushed completely into the scabbard.
