Luftwaffe M38 helmet which was only issued to German paratroopers. This example came of the family's estate and was not available to the market before. A very interesting piece in untouched condition!

Typical helmet shell with an "ET66" maker and size stamp to the side.

Liner: Soft leather. Well worn. Slightly deformed. No rips.
Markings: "Kopfweite 58" size marked and "Stahlhaube Gr.68" shell size marked. Hensler maker marked.

Screws: Slotted screws! 100% period time added. The helmet was worn example like that!
Chin straps: Soft leather. Working button. 1st pattern straps in well worn condition. Signs of age.

Paint: Around 80% factory paint. Sign of wear and age.
Decal: EAbout 90%. Signs of wear.

Some damage to the inner ring which looks to have happened period time. There is a very old cord which was used to fix it. Some pads loose. Liner jiggling.
