A worn 1st pattern "old style" visor cap for an officer with a soft leather visor. Collector's call this type of cap a "crusher cap".
Piping: "blue" color for medical troops
Insignia: Machine-woven officer's cap eagle and wreath badge. The correct type of insignia for this cap. Re-attached by hand.
Sweat-band: Clearly worn. Backed with a cardboard band which was added to the inside.
Lining: Fine silk lining with removed celluloid diamond. Signs of wear. Some stains.
Visor: Soft leather
