A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Luftwaffe.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 85-90% still present. Some rust and signs of wear and age.
Decals: The eagle decal shows the swastika being scratched off.
Lining: Lather lining. Still flexible. Original cord. 56 size stamped.
The prongs look to have been opened once however lining and shell look to belong together for sure,
Chin strap: Soft leather. Slightly shortened.
Markings: Q64
Never cleaned and with a lot of cobwebbs. Untouched!
