Third Reich Postschutz (postal protection) leader's dagger. Made by Paul Weyerberg, Solingen. 

Nickel-plated steel blade with the maker's mark of Paul Weyersberg. Stains on both sides and the tip is slightly bent. A black wooden grip with the original attached Postschutz emblem. Nickel-plated tombak fittings. The crossguard comes with a black enamel swastika on both sides. Numbered "1785" and stamped "DRP" on the bottom of the crossguard. 

Original black painted steel scabbard with nickel-plated tombak fittings. Around 90% of the black finish is present. The lower fitting has a dent and is bent. All five screws are unopened. Including the original nickel dagger chain. "DRGM" marked snap clip. The hook of the clip is bent but can be easily repaired.

Comes with a general officer's portepee.
