Awards: U-boat War Badge on 12.5.1944, 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class on 12.7.1944, U-boat Front Clasp in Bronze on 25.10.1944, U-boat Front Clasp in Silver on 9.5.1945, and 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class on 9.5.1944. Unfortunately, the field mail numbers in the complete Soldbuch have been painted over with a black pen. However, the stamps of the "Kommando - 1. Unterseebootslehrdivision" and "Torpedo-Schule" are untouched. On the front cover, he has written his POW number "215 054". His commander Kapitänleutnant Rupprecht Stock has sign one of the last pages.
