Heer visor cap for EM and NCOs (Panzergrenadier). This cap was first issued as a yellow piped signal troops cap and was period time (!) dyed with green (wiesengrün) color. This happen a lot when soldiers were transferred to a Panzergrenadier unit after 1942.
Branch: Panzergrenadier (ex Nachrichtentruppe). Dyed "wiesengrün" color piping
Insignia: A matching tombak pair. All prongs in place.
Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs. Correct buttons period time attached. One button hole of the strap is damaged but still hold find.
Lining: Fine gold color silk.
Celluloid diamond: damaged
Maker's mark: EREL SONDERKLASSE marked to the lining and sweat-band
Sweat-band: Signs of wear.Still soft.
Inside cap band with one crack.
