47 original wartime photos including images of U-72 on its 2nd and 4th combat patrol. 35 reproduction photos with good images of the crew and the boat at sea. Also comes with a copy of his Soldbuch, a postwar badge, and a copy of the war diary of U-382 from 01.11.1942 to 08.03.1943.
Good condition.
It comes with his white summer tunic with Oberleutnant zur See shoulder boards which - according to our consignor - did belong to Mayer. All gilt uniform buttons and the breast eagle are in place. Among them are two original photos of him wearing this jacket during the war.
