An Austrian helmet type of WW1. M17. This example was re-issued for the Austrian "Heimwehr" troops in the 1920s/30s and received a new grey paint. After 1938, the owner served with the Allgemeine-SS and had his helmet painted with black color. Two decals were added.
Shell with matching liner. Typically for an M17 pattern, the pads come with iron rings. Old cord.

The black period time paint covered nearly 95% of the outside shell.
Decals: Both decals in place. The swastika decal about is nearly 100%. The SS decal is about 85%. One small small hole was drilled next to it to attach a patriotic Heimwehr badge before issueing to the Allgemeine-SS. Another small dent to the center of the decal
