The sabre comes with an excellent eteched blade on three sides. One side shows the inscription "1. Battr.Art.Regt.22 Verden." and on the other side are artillery depictions. Also beautifully decorated on both sides. "WKC" maker marked. Mint condition.
Silver-plated hilt fittings with lion's head pommel. Two inlaid violet glass eyes. Black celluloid grip with intact wire wrapping. The langets bear the national eagle on one side and the coat of arms of the artillery on the other. Inlcudes the officer's portepee. Black re-painted steel scabbard which is free of dents.
