Early heavy production Luftwaffe officers' sword made by SMF.

This early high-quality production sword features heavy nickel components. The blue leather covering the scabbard and grip is in very good condition. The leather hang piece is still attached to the two rings and is also in very good condition. The pommel and cross guard display the early production brass swastikas on both the front and back. The nickel-plated blade is in very good condition and is marked with the SMF Solingen logo etched on the back. Above the SMF logo, there is a Waffenamt "5" stamped. Around the blade, the blue leather buffer is still attached. The sword is complete with a very nice Luftwaffe sword hanger in blue leather with aluminum pieces. The hanger is marked on the back with "Gebr. Hast," which is the hanger manufacturer, and it also has the belt loop attached.
