Exceptional M33 SS Ernst Röhm Dagger made by Richard Herder Abr, Solingen.  This is the rarest of SS Daggers limited to under 10,000 pieces made. 

Blade shows etched SS motto "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" with nice darkening to the motto giving it a great contrast.  The reverse shows the Ernst Röhm motto "In herzlicher Freundschaft, Ernst Röhm" - "In heartfelt comradeship, Ernst Röhm." also with beautifully contrasting relief. 

The blade does show some minor pitting and slight bend at the tip.  

The handle's ebonized wood grip is clean showing some very minor surface wear.  The inlaid eagle is present as is the SS roundel.  The roundel does show a chip to the enamel.  The wood shows slight shrinking against the nickel fittings.  The crossguard shows show blue green patina and is marked with the roman numeral II for beiong inspected at Dresden and the top of the crossguard is numbered 8155.  The pommel nut does not inidicate that this dagger has been taken apart.

The annodized black scabbard shows some minor flecks of rust with its fittings retaining most of their original finish with some patina on the upper fitting and ring.  

Comes with a beautiful hanger with nicely aged leather and the Stylized A for Assmann and DRGM stamp.  

This is a very rare dagger that would be a show piece in any collection.
