Extremely rare Soldbuch and Wound Badge in black certificate to the Latvian volunteer W-Obersturmführer Rodrigo Bailitis awarded the Bandenkampfabzeichen in bronze.
Rare pink Soldbuch "... für Schutzmannschaftsangehörige" issued on 15.11.1942. Correctly issued without a photograph.
Bailitis served with 17.Lett.Fl.Btl., Lett.Pol.Btl.25 and Lett.Pol.Rgt.2 (Pak Komp.).
A special note on page 18 and 19 confirming he was wounded on 15.7.1944 "im Kampfe gegen Bolschewisten" and was sent to the SS military hospital in Riga. He is entitled to wear the Wound Badge in black.
A note on page 21 confirms he died on 25.3.1945.
His awards are listed on page 28. Three awards are listed in Latvian language but most probably German awards.
The last is listed in German language: "1.IX.44 Bandenkampfabz. u. Bronze" (Anti Partisan Badge in bronze).
Wound Badge in black certificate period time clipped into his Soldbuch during his stay at the military hospital. Issued on 14.1.1945 and signed by an SS-Sturmbannführer.
The last pages list his campaigns are are extremely important. It proofs his anti partisan campaigns "Einsatz zur Bandenkämpfung im rückwärtigen Heeresgebiet in der Ukraine und Weißrußland."
It looks like he was involved in anti partisan missions only. The campaigns are named "Sonderunternehmungen".
