Waffen-SS officer's visor cap. Made from gabardine cloth. Black velvet band with officer's visor cap cord. White piping.
A late war cap made around 1944.
Attached zinc eagle and skull. Typical Assmann made example. The silk lining with some spots. Celluloid diamond is missing. Leather sweatband with signs of wear. Inside "Clemens Wager Braunschweig" maker marked. 1938 dated. An early sweat-band which the company had in stock and carried on using in late war. A known procedure.
The size should be 56.
3-4 small moth holes and one repaired point below the piping.
