Grouping of a soldier serving on Räumboot 117 which was launched on 19.12.1942. We believe that all items are postwar but very early 1950s and were acquired and made to commemorate his service time.
Part of the lot is an impressive large size drinking glass made from red lead crystal.
It shows the emblem of "8. Räumboots-Fottille" to one side and has "Zur Erinnerung an meine Borddzeit auf R117" engraved to the other side.
It comes in excellent preservation and is 21cm high. Width: 14cm.
There is a quite heavy wall decoration showing the emblem of "8. Räumboots-Fottille" with full paint. A metal badge on wooden base.
Height: 18,5cm.
Finally a crafted wooden model of the ship R 117. Parts were made from metal. A completely self-made model on a matching stand. Length: 96cm.
