A WW2 period time crafted so-called "Wolchow" officer's walking stick. It belonged to a crew member of U-479.
The stick shows a carved national eagle to the top and "1944" as well as an anchor as well as a spades symbol towards the bottom. The middle shows the carved city names "NARVA" and "REVAL".
U-479 was based dent to Rival on 11.7.1944 before they sent it on patrol in the Narva area.
Not many officer's were on board of an u-boat so there is a chance to find out more on the provenience.
