Extremely rare Cholm Shield which was period time attach on a shoulder board instead of a cloth backing. It comes without prongs but was sewn on the backing. The backing shows green Gebirgsjäger piping. When turning it around you see the original metal backplate. Lifting the backplate shows the hole of the shoulder board for the button. The board was cut towards the top but the original piping was used to close it.
An excellent shield which was definitely worn like this period time.
