Wehrmacht M40 helmet with original 2 color camp paint. Green and khaki. No decal visible. Original leather liner which was hit by a bullet which was stopped by the shell. The bullet is still inside the shell!
This helmet was certainly hit when not being worn from the inside. It must have been taken back home as a remembrance.
Leather chin straps with a crack to the center. It is actually about to break into two parts.
Size of the soft leather liner: 58/59.
A great helmet with a lot of character. Condition 2-
