Fine black wooden handle. The swastika of the eagle was taken off to denazify it. However, a new swastika was inserted at a later date. The eagle itself is absolutely original to the handle. There looks to be a damaged SA emblem attached to the handle instead of its original SS rune emblem.No chips to the handle. Nickel metal fittings. Cross guard "He" (Hessen) stamped. The top screw once opened.
Correct unmarked blade with motto "MEINE EHRE HEISST TREUE". Minor stains.
Scabbard with original black factory paint. One screw is missing and one replaced. Chain is missing.
