Heer, gorget (ie. 'Ringkragen') as was intended for a member within the: 'Feldgendarmerie' (ie. field-police). The piece is constructed from zinc-based material and was clearly used and worn. The gorget is 'backed' with a piece of field-grey-coloured wool but is void of any makers'-designation. The piece retains only some remains of its luminous (and silver-coloured-) paint and regrettably misses its attachment-hook. The piece comes mounted on its period and also zinc-based- but complete chain. The gorget has clearly been used and shows wear, age and staining: it was, however, never cleaned and comes as found.
