Heer tropical gas-mask (ie. 'Gasmaske') in can as was worn and used by the 'Unteroffizier' Schilling who served within a unit holding the abbreviated unit-designation: '8/126'. The piece is named as can be seen from the glued-in etiket in the top of the can. The can retains most of its yellow- (ie. tan-) coloured paint and shows the (white-coloured- and painted-) number: '6' on its side. The can comes with its period gas mask (and filter) and also retains its spare-sets of lenses ('Klarscheiben'), metal spring and cleaning-cloth. The set came without any straps and shows some age, wear and/or staining: it was, however, never cleaned.
