Pz.Rgt.4 Deutsches Kreuz Nachlass Kriz

Beschreibung

The grouping comes with a very nice photo album to the German Cross in gold recipient Albert Kriz serving with 8./Panzer-Regiment 4.

Fine photo album with an attached skull for Panzer troops and shoulder boards cyphers "8" and "4" to the red cover. Also an Imperial Crown. Roughly 137 attached and lettered photographs.
Early photos with Panzer beret and "crusher" cap. A lot of photos show German tanks and destroyed French tanks. One nice photo of Generaloberst Guderian. Rare photos taken during the France Campaign. BMD girls welcome the Panzer troops "Einmarsch in Guntramsdorf 10.VII.1940". Panzer graves with beret to the top of the grave cross. Furthermore French POW, "schwere" Artillery, Panzerjäger and aircrafts.

One handwritten page on an album side "Der Krieg im Westen vom 12.V.40 bis 22.VI.40. Albert Kriz writes about the West Campaign in the period from 12.05.1940 to 22.11.1940. The next page documented the battles "Der Durchbruch zum Ärmelkanal" (English Channel) from 10.05.1940 to 08.08.1940. With a lot of interesting entries: "Schlacht in Flandern", "23.5. Schlacht um Dünkirchen", "18.6. Vernichtungsschlacht in Lothringen". Also attached to the album a period time map "Einsatz West des Panzer-Regiments 4 1940" and his certificate to Tank Assault Badge in silver. Issued 6. Juni 1940. Signed by Generalleutnant Rudolf Veiel (Knight's Cross winner). Folded and stains from the glue. The certificate were glued to the album. However, the certificate has come off the page.

Including nine separate photographs with an excellent portrait photo. He's wearing the black Panzer tunic and the German Cross in gold as well as his other awards. Size: 18x23.5cm. Nice!

Wehrpaß to Gefreiten Karl Kriz serving with 1. Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon I/482. Karl was the brother of Albert. His untis are listed on page 12. No awards noted. In the time from 22.9.1942 to 7.1.1943 he was involved in anti-Partisan combat to the "Heeresgebiet Nord". Noted on page 32. Killed in action on 1.6.1943 at Penna (Russia). RAD field service listed on page 10. The Wehrpass comes with an original attached photo and all pages. Issued 28.11.1940.

Furthermore a Third Reich Ahnenpass of the family "Swoboda" and some postwar documents of this family. Maybe relatives to Albert Kriz.

Hard to find. Good condition 2.
