SS standard-issue pattern canteen ('Feldflasche'). The piece comes complete with its woolen based cover, aluminum-based 'musketon'-hook and leather-based carrying-straps. The aluminium-based bottle is stamped: 'HRE 38' (the cover is also equally marked on the inside) and the screw-on top shows the designation: 'RzM 196/38 SS'. The piece shows some wear and a couple of tiny moth-holes: the leather is fully functional and souple but shows wear and usage.
