Heer, silver-toned plaque on original wooden base depicting a soldiers'-portrait. The plaque itself measures: 11,5 cms. and has an approximate width of 9 cms. The black-coloured- and wooden base measures: 18,5 x 15,5 cms. The plaque shows a left-facing soldier wearing a steel-helmet (with detailed eagle-decal!). The piece is a non maker-marked example and retains a nicely preserved age-patina: it does show some minimal staining (and has been cleaned and polished over the years, causing that some of the silver finish is missing). The piece shows a (period) etiket on its back showing a (hard to decypher) name or address.
