Wehrmacht Heer greyish-coloured and leather-based great-coat ('Mantel') that was intended for a Generalmajor.
The coat - which is executed in fine-grain, genuine leather - shows a bluish-grey-coloured lining and is with certainty a piece that was constructed as a so-called: 'Extra Klasse'-garment. It shows a (woven) makers'-etiket on its inside that reads: 'Lederbekleidung Max Schleussner - Dresden' and also shows an additional etiket (in the inside of the inner-pocket that shows a date ('24-2-1940') number ('3050 - 4503') and size ('112'). Regrettably, does it not show a name of the General-Officer who wore this coat.
The piece shows all its buttons in place (which all seem to be period-attached) has an internal belt and comes with a (matching) pair of General-Officers'-type shoulderboards present and in place. These are executed in (somewhat tarnished) braid and come mounted on their small-sized, officers'-type tongues. They never had any pips attached and where thus intended for an army General-Officer with the rank of: 'Generalmajor'.
The coat has an approximate waist of 100 cms. and is totally void of any real damage or alike: it just shows some minimal staining and is somewhat dried-out.
