Allgemeine-SS, EM/NCO-pattern, black-coloured visor-cap (ie. 'Schirm- o. Tuchmütze') as was intended for usage by the various non-commissioned staff serving within the black-unifomed SS-troops ('Allgemeine-SS-Truppen').
The piece is executed in (typical) black-coloured and 'Garbadine'-type wool (having white-coloured- and woolen-type piping) and shows a beige-yellowish-coloured (and 'silk-like'-type-) lining and 'Celluloid'-based diamond, installed. This diamond is minimally damaged and shows an installed name-strip that reads 'Quast'. Moreover, does the lining show the circular-shaped 'SS-runes' as to be expected. The lining shows some blue-inked 'stripes' and theater inventory-numbers (as can be seen on the pictures).
The cap shows a 'standard' early-pattern, silver-coloured- and 'Buntmetall'-based skull-device ('Totenkopf') in place but misses its eagle-device. The beige-coloured- and leather-based sweat-band - under which the black-coloured RzM-etiket that reads: 'Tuchmütze für SS' can be found - is also fully intact and nicely preserved.
The cap comes with its undamaged (and beige-backed) visor (showing the 'SS-runes'-stamp in place) and (period) leather-based- and typically SS-styled cap-strap ('Sturmriemen') in place.
The cap - which has retained a nice shape ('Sattelform') - comes in an overall very nice condition and shows hardly any age nor wear. It is approximately 57 cms. sized and will with certainty fit a mannequins'-head.
