Heer M40-model steel-helmet ('Stahlhelm') being a darker-green-coloured, single-decal example that bears a fully preserved eagle-device.
The piece - which shows two hard-to-read lot-numbers stamped in its rim that respectively read: 'N224' and: 'Q66' (or alike) - comes with its incomplete and somewhat damaged liner that still retains its period cord.
The liner bears a vague size-ink-stamp that reads: '59' and shows the initials of the bearer (a certain: W.F.'). The helmet comes complete with all its rivets and retains an almost fully preserved coloured surface (which is somewhat roughly-shaped and that shows some minimal scratches and paint-loss).
Of specific interest is naturally the almost for 100% preserved eagle-device-decal (something that is not always encountered!).
