A handwritten letter from Hans Frank to his girlfriend "Lilly". Dated 16. November 1943, Burg Krakau.
Hans Michael Frank was born on 23. May 1900 in Karlsruhe. Already in 1919 he joined the DAF, predecessor organisation of the NSDAP. He was also the personal lawyer of Adolf Hitler and member of the Reichstag. During WWII he was Generalgouverneur of occupied Poland. Because of his brutality in the occupied Poland, he was called "Schlächter von Polen" ("Butcher of Poland"). At the Nürnberg trials, he was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity and executed by hanging on 15./16. October 1946.
The letter consists of three handwritten pages by Hans Frank. Folded once. Minor crack. Size: 20x25 cm.
