Third Reich period time porcelain eagle which belonged to SS-Obergruppenfüher Hans Heinrich Lammers.
Excellent white glazed porcelain eagle. Made in the 30's/40's. Two chips to the bottom. Furthermore one repaired area (1.0x0.5 cm). The original part, which chipped, was glued again.
Height: 40 cm.
According to our consignor, the eagle was purchased in the 70s of a household dissolver direct from the family. Hans Lammers was Reichsminister and Chef der Reichskanzlei (Chief of the Reich Chancellery under Adolf Hitler). Awarded with Golden Party Badge, SS Honor Ring and SS-Honor Sword. At the Nürnberg trials, Lammers was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.
