Important photo album of one of Hans Frank's inner circle servants. Most probably to a member of his staff. The photos part of this album can only be taken by someone who was very close to him.
Hans Michael Frank was born on 23. May 1900 in Karlsruhe. Already in 1919 he joined the DAF, predecessor organisation of the NSDAP. He was also the personal lawyer of Adolf Hitler and member of the Reichstag. During WWII he was Generalgouverneur of occupied Poland. Because of his brutality in the occupied Poland, he was called "Schlächter von Polen" ("Butcher of Poland"). At the Nürnberg trials, he was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity and executed by hanging on 15./16. October 1946.
The album comes with roughly 117 excellent photographs and and documents his service in Poland as Generalgouverneur.
Photos with high-ranking SS-officer's. Destroyed railway station of Września. Photos of Kolo, Lublin and Warschau with partially destroy buildings. One photo of Gouverneur des Distrikts Radom Dr. Karl Lasch. Very interesting and rare photographs of the oil and gas conveyors in Krosno. The retinue of Dr.Frank consisted of a SS unit. Very nice to see in the album.
