1938 SS 8-Year Long Service Medal in Bronze grouping with medal, ribbon and black case. The medal and ribbon are in mint condition. The medal is a Deschler production with the finely stippled finish characteristic of the Deschler production pieces.
The case is in near-mint condition with 98% of the original exterior black finish, 98% of the original bronze-colored felt finish on the interior, and 98% of the original silver color on the SS runes stamped on the case cover. Bottom and top pieces of the case have separated. A typical problem due to the paper hinge on these cases.
