Important white summer tunic for a highly decorated Waffen-SS officer / General. Next to many original attached loops for a German Cross and other awards and a ribbon bar, the tunic comes with buttons underneath the color. These buttons were used to attached a neck award such as the Knight's Cross of the War Merit Cross or the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
Sleeve eagle and collar tabs were also attached with buttons. The reason insignia were attached with buttons is simply and very common for summer tunics: Removing the inignia allowed to clean the tunic easily.
All buttons EXTRA FEIN marked and complete. Original attached as well.
Room to attach an SS dagger through the lower left pocket.
