German Cross in gold recipient medal grouping

Beschreibung

An excellent medal grouping of an unknown infantry Leutnant who served in the East. The medals part of the grouping come with a scarce period time (!) photo proof. All medals were displayed as his funeral ceremony in Germany at the time. 

German Cross in gold by Zimmermann. "20" maker marked.  No chipping and scratches to the enamel. Collectors call this a light Zimmermann according to contraction and weight. Lovely patina. With the original case of issue. The case opens and closes correctly. A nice set!

Weight: 46.2 gr.

1939 Iron Cross 1st Class on screw-back by Deumer. "L/11" maker marked. Three-part construction. Iron core. Full original black color. Nice silver finish. In its original black LDO case of issue. Also "L/11" maker marked to the bottom.

1939 Iron Cross 1st Class by Ferdinand Hofstätter. "L/19" maker marked. Three-part construction. Non-magnetic core. Full original black color. Lovely patina. In its original black case of issue. 

Tank Assault Badge in bronze by Karl Wurster. Maker marked. Solid brass badge. Fine finish.

Wound Badge in gold by Hauptmünzamt Wien. "30" maker marked. Excellent gilding. Tombak.

Close Combat Clasp in bronze by Juncker. Maker marked. Zinc. Fine bronze finish. Pin and back-plate missing but a nice clasp.

1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class by Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plakettenhersteller. "24" maker marked. Three-part construction. Iron core. Full original black color. Matching ribbon and ribbon bar.

East Medal and Westwall Medal.

Furthermore six period time photographs of the recipient. Including a period time (!) photo where all his medals are laid out.

One photo dated "Juni 1943 Rußland" to the reverse.

Nice condition 1-/2+.
