Rare Wehrmacht pack only issued for "Nachrichten" troops. Maker marked and 1940 dated.
Signals personnel had specialized pack with fur-covered back plap. The pack held various communication equipment. The different models (1,2 and 3) had slightly different content inside.
This example is model "No.1". It shows a leather number to the front side. Special straps and a aluminum frame held the equipment inside.
This pack looks to be a veteran bring back found in the US or Kanada and shows rests of a paper tag explaining the pack in English.
Used but good condition. Please see pictures for more details. Some damage.
