Untouched grouping to a naval official and Marine-Chefingenieur serving in both, the Kaiserliche Marine and Kriegsmarine for several decades. He was a 1870/71 Franco-Prussian War Veteran and part of the China Campaign. He served in WW1 and saw service as a Kriegsmarine officer after 1935. He must have been serving for over 40 years.
This grouping was sold to a local antique store by his great-grandson. The antique store owner has consigned the grouping to us. It has never been available on the market so far.
There are documents available which however the family did not want to sell at the moment. Name as well as additional service time documents might be available in near future.

Very nice Kaiserliche Marine officer's hat for an official, a so-called "Zweispitz". It comes in its original transportation case.
Felt construction. Silvered (!) naval button. National "black-white-red" cockade from ripped silk. Silver (!) bullion so-called "Agraffe". Ripped black silk bordering.
Minor signs of wear to the felt. Fine silk lining. Intact sweat-band with only two small holes.
Maker marked to the silk lining: "Deutsche Industrie"
Small size 55.
Original cardboard transportation case in used condition with signs of age.
A nice set in good condition 2.
Uncleaned and a little dusty.
