Untouched grouping to a naval official and Marine-Chefingenieur serving in both, the Kaiserliche Marine and Kriegsmarine for several decades. He was a 1870/71 Franco-Prussian War Veteran and part of the China Campaign. He served in WW1 and saw service as a Kriegsmarine officer after 1935. He must have been serving for over 40 years. This grouping was sold to a local antique store by his great-grandson. The antique store owner has consigned the grouping to us. It has never been available on the market so far. There are documents available which however the family did not want to sell at the moment. Name as well as additional service time documents might be available in near future. Please see other lots at auction.
WW1 period time fine privat purchased Kaiserliche Marine coat for a Marine-Chefingenieur. Dark blue coat with fine black velvet collar.
Full original attached gilt buttons. One button hiding inside a pocket ready to get re-attached.
Original attached 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon. Marine-Chefingenieur shoulder boards with gilt rank pips and engineer's patches. On board with its bar missing.
Fine silk lining with removed tailor's tag.
Condition 2. Only a few tiny moth bites if you look closely.
