Third Reich state forestry "Hirschfänger" (hunting dagger) by Eickhorn. A high-quality luxury example with engraved scabbard fitting and ornamented handle bow.
Nice gilded and decorated aluminum handle with white grip plates. Both sides with three attached acorns. No chipping.
Engraved to the bow "Weihnachten 1952 - Zur Erinnerung an die Damloser Zeit" (postwar engraving. Dagger, however, definitely Third Reich period time).
Clean blade with minor stains. "Eickhorn" maker marked. Etched to three sides with hunting scenes. The blade back "W. MICHOVIUS COTTBUS" (merchant) etched.
Leather scabbard with gilded metal fittings. Engraved picture of a deer. No dents.
