A very fine and high-quality German Eagle Order 1st Class.
Made from real silver. "900" silver hallmark to the ring. Fire gilding. Fine white enameled cross arms (no chipping). No maker's mark, however, most of the German Eagle Order were made by Godet, Berlin. Including the matching full-size neck ribbon.
In its original red case of issue. The top of the case shows the national eagle. Lining with golden lettering "Orden vom Deutschen Adler, Verdienstkreuz 1. Stufe". Black velvet inlay. Stains to the bottom as well as signs of use.
